First, raw materials and equipment

The main raw material for the production of candles is paraffin, the auxiliary raw material is stearic acid, and the trace raw materials are beeswax, flavor, pigment, metal salt, etc. The machine for producing candles is a candle machine, generally having type 10, type 20, type 40, type 50, Type 60, Type 70, Type 80, Type 90, Type 100, Type 120, etc. Each type of single machine produces 10, 20, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 candles. Branch, 100, 120, etc.


Second, the production method

Paraffin wax, stearic acid and trace chemicals are placed in an aluminum pan to be melted, poured into a mold that has been previously coated with oil and has a wick, and the candle water tank is filled with cold water before pouring. Circulate it to promote condensation. After condensing, cut the wick.

Ordinary white candles do not require ingredients and are made of paraffin wax around 55 degrees. With the development of science and technology, no black smoke, no tears, no dust, burning, bright candles, no soft summer, no curved candles, mosquito repellent candles, scented candles, craft candles, colored candles, colored flame candles, etc. A variety of candles should also be born far away.

1. No black smoke, large brightness candle: The candle core should be made of white cotton. The white cotton thread is bleached by bleaching powder, and the candle is ignited without black smoke, and the brightness is large. If the cotton thread is not bleached and contains impurities, the candle will ignite a lot of black smoke and it will not be bright.

2. No tears, no dust, no burning candle: The bleached wax core wire is soaked with chemical raw materials, the candle is not tearing, dust-free and burning. The following are three chemical material formulations for soaking wax cores, each of which can be used alone.

Formulation 1 Boric acid 0.04 parts

0.64 parts of phosphoric acid

Ammonium sulfate 0.64 parts

Water 100 parts

Formula 2 Borax 226.8 g

Potassium nitrate (fire nitrate) 226.8 g

Ammonium sulfate 567g

Water 7 kg

Formulation III Ammonium chloride (alkaline sand) 4536g

Water 6 kg

The wax core wire soaked with chemical raw materials will be burnt before making the candle. It can also be dried in a dry and ventilated place, but it should not be exposed to sunlight to prevent the chemical mixture from reacting physicochemically and losing its effect.

3. Summer does not change soft, does not bend the candle: the candle made of paraffin is easy to soften and bend in summer. After the ignition, the candle dissolves quickly. The candle made according to the following formula is not soft, not bent and resistant to burning.

The wax formula of this candle (by weight) is 10 parts paraffin plus 2-3 parts stearic acid. 10 parts of paraffin, 2-3 parts of stearic acid.

It should be noted that stearic acid should not be added too much, otherwise the wax oil will melt too slowly and the wax will not light.

4. Scented candle: Mix 200g of B-cyclodextrin, 600ml of water, 20g of lavender (also can be replaced by flavor), then mix and mix for three hours. The contained contents are taken out at 60 ° C (the temperature cannot be too high, otherwise the fragrance will deteriorate) by vacuum drying or spray drying into a powdery chemical coating (unconditionally dried into powder by other methods). Store the powdered chemical pack in a dry, ventilated place. When the candle is produced, the powdered chemical package is put into the dissolved candle making material and mixed well, and the scented candle can be made into the mold.

The amount of the powdered chemical package is generally 1-3% of the candle material.

Candles made by this method are still stored normally for more than half a year, and emit different fragrances according to the different spices used. Since the individual and small candle manufacturers have no drying equipment, the powdery chemical package can be produced by the soil method. Although the effect is poor, it also has a certain fragrance effect. Take 100 grams of B-cyclodextrin, 300 ml of water, add 10 grams of lavender after stirring, and evaporate in a pot until it is dried into a powdery chemical package to be stored. However, the dosage should generally be increased to about 5%.
