How To Make Paraffin Wax
Oct 17, 2018

Paraffin wax is not synthesized by anything. It is a product of the petroleum industry. It is a wax residue obtained by distillation of crude oil by solvent refining, solvent dewaxing or wax crystallization, pressing and dewaxing to obtain wax paste. Oil or refined sheet or needle crystal. It is a hydrocarbon mixture with a carbon number of about 18 to 30. The main component is a linear alkane (about 80% to 95%), and a small amount of an alkane with individual branches and a monocyclic cycloalkane with a long side chain. (The total content of both is 20% or less).

Paraffin wax is widely used. After immersing the paper in paraffin, it can be used to obtain various stencils with good waterproof properties. It can be used in food, medicine and other packaging, metal rust and printing industries. After adding wax to paraffin, it can make textiles. Soft, smooth and elastic; paraffin can also be used to make detergents, emulsifiers, dispersants, plasticizers, greases and most. Due to the increasingly tight resources of animal waxes and vegetable waxes, most of the current candles are made of paraffin. Paraffin wax melts when heated, emits light when the candle burns, emits black smoke, and releases heat.

Aqueous release agents are commonly found in aqueous silicone release agents (ie, water-soluble silicone release agents) and aqueous polyurethane release agents.
